CASA LAGO Dolomiti
A new way of inhabiting the landscape
Discover the residenceSome places are born from a project. Others from a way of living. Casa LAGO Dolomiti was born from the idea of home that Daniele Lago and his family have always carried with them: an open space, able to welcome, to bring people together and to create experiences worth sharing.
Located in Primiero San Martino di Castrozza (TN), at the foot of the UNESCO World Heritage Dolomites, Casa LAGO Dolomiti opens its doors to the public for the first time. Not as a showroom or exhibition space, but as a genuinely lived-in home, designed by Daniele Lago to share moments with family and friends, and today opened up to a wider community.
The project
Where architecture, design and landscape converse naturally
The residence, conceived by Daniele Lago and designed by Arch. Zaetta, unfolds across more than 700 sqm of creative space entirely designed and furnished by LAGO. A place where architecture, interior design and landscape converse naturally, giving shape to a way of living that puts wellbeing, relationships and connection with nature at its centre.
The house sits within the alpine landscape with respect and sensitivity, letting the light, the materials and the rhythm of the Dolomites shape its character. Every space was conceived to encourage encounter, conviviality and sharing, turning living into an authentic, shared experience.
Building responsibly
Certifications born from a vision, not from a requirement
Casa LAGO Dolomiti has obtained ARCA Silver certification (no. ARCA_SA_0131), issued by Odatech on 16 June 2026 and valid until 2036, attesting that the timber building meets the highest technical standards. It has also obtained CasaClima certification (no. IT-2026-02086), a further recognition of construction quality and attention to energy efficiency.
Daniele Lago's vision
“Looking at the Pale di San Martino from this special place, I sensed an extraordinary balance between nature and humanity. From that intuition came the idea of an architecture able to embrace the land, settling into the landscape with a mark at once contemporary and archaic, tied to the deepest idea of home: a place to inhabit while letting yourself be continually crossed by the nature it belongs to.”
For Daniele Lago, the youngest of ten siblings, home has always been first and foremost a place of relationships. Growing up in a large family nurtured a natural disposition towards hospitality and shared living, deeply shaping the way this project was imagined.
An encounter
Design, nature and design culture
Casa LAGO Dolomiti also comes from the encounter with companies and partners who share the same care for design quality, innovation and the value of the relationship between people and their environment. Selected collaborations have helped define the identity of the space in every detail.
In Daniele Lago's vision, Casa LAGO Dolomiti is destined to open over time to an ever wider community, becoming a place where different people, skills and sensibilities can meet and generate new stimuli — creative, cultural and educational — always keeping relationships at its centre. A small harbour that receives energy from those who use it and returns it through ideas, experiences, conversations and new connections. A living house, able to evolve thanks to the people who pass through it and to become a space of sharing and cultural activation.
